Denudation Tips by Repromine
Reproline Soft Denudation Tips are a single-use micropipette for oocyte manipulation, blastomer, polar body manipulation, and embryo handling during denuding.
How It Works
Denudation is a process that removes the cumulus cells from around the egg to improve egg quality. Only mature eggs can be frozen or used for ICSI.
Step 1: The cell undergoes chemical denudation with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. The enzyme degrades hyaluronic acid in cumulus cells. making mechanical denudation an easier process.
Step 2: Mechanical denudation takes place with pipette tips that decrease in size to gently strip away the cumulus cells.
Step 3: The egg is assessed for maturity. The egg is classified as mature when a small cell called the polar body has been released and is viable.
Sizes to Suit All Practices
Reproline Denudation Tips are made in a variety of sizes that IVF laboratories will be familiar with. As standard, the tip is a precise, straight cut-off, but can be requested at a 45° angle.
BPA-Free
Reproline Denudation Tips are constructed from PETG plastic, which removes the outer cumulus cells without affecting oocytes.
The majority of denudation tips use Bisphenol-A (BPA), which is an endocrine disruptor. The smallest amounts of BPA contribute to the diseases such as obesity and thyroid disfunction.
