Built from durable, high quality components it is the ideal tool in Haematology laboratories and clinics, producing reliable and accurate haematocrits year in year out. Its successful classic design is in widespread use world wide and we guarantee to give it total service and parts support into the future.

A choice of rotors is available separately, to allow micro chemistry preparations and give the unit versatility in use.

  • High Speed Drive developing RCF 13,000g for fast, accurate haematocrits
  • Second low speed option developing RCF 3300g
  • High quality balanced motor for vibration free, quiet operation without temperature increase.
  • Excellent acceleration and braking and smooth running characteristics
  • Cast aluminium body giving total stability and low noise characteristics
  • Simple intuitive operation suitable for any level of operator
  • Range of easy to change and versatile rotors
  • Characteristic classic styling
  • Lockable steel lid and rugged components that will withstand years of hard service

Rotor Options
24 PLACE MICRO HAEMATOCRIT ROTOR (01971-00)

A balanced machined and perfectly concentric disc of solid aluminium, anodised and silk screened to give high integrity and long life. The rotor has numbered tube positions for routine sample identification.

Capacity:   24 capilliary haematocrit tubes - 75mm long x 59ul at 14000g
Construction:    Machined, anodised and silk screened aluminium

  COMBINATION ROTOR (01986-00)

A mixed capacity rotor to allow both haematocrit capilliaries and capped micro tubes to be run in the same load and to give the operator a choice of options to reduce the need for rotor changes. The design is a modified version of the standard Haematocrit rotor above.

Capacity:   16 capilliary haematocrit tubes - 75mm long x 59ul at13000g
  16 micro chemistry tubes - 1.5/2ml vol, 11mm dia x 40mm L at 13000g
Construction:   Machined, anodised and silk screened aluminium

  MULTI COMBINATION ROTOR (01985-00)

A further variation on the rotors above, this is the ideal rotor for users with a wider variety of sample types to process. The roter takes 16 standard 75mm capilliaries, and several different sizes of micro tubes, to accommodate screw cap lids, and both 11 and 12mm diameter Micro Tubes.

Capacity:   16 capilliary haematocrit tubes - 75mm long x 59ul at13000g
  12 micro chemistry tubes - 1.5/2ml vol, 11mm dia x 40mm L at 13000g
  4 screw cap Vacutainers or similar, 12mm dia x upto 60mm L at 13000g
Construction:   Machined, anodised and silk screened aluminium

20 PLACE FIXED ANGLE ROTOR (01881-00)

A durable black acetal machined rotor to take 20 micro chemistry tubes up to 2ml volume, with numbered tube positions for routine sample identification. The rotor inclines the samples at 30 degrees and runs at 11800 rpm giving RCF 14000g.

Capacity:   20 micro chemistry tubes - up to 2ml volume at 8500g
Construction:   Machined black acetal

8 PLACE FIXED ANGLE ROTOR (01890-00)

A durable black acetal machined rotor to take 8 micro chemistry tubes up to 2ml volume, with numbered tube positions for routine sample identification. The rotor inclines the samples at 30 degrees and runs at 16000 rpm giving RCF 19000g.

Capacity:   8 micro chemistry tubes - up to 2ml volume at 8500g
Construction:   Machined black acetal
